Alright so perhaps it’s the fact that it has been way too long since you have gone out on a date that you have basically become a virgin again, or maybe your pals are all getting into relationships and curious why you are not, but you need to know how to get a date.  Here are a couple of things that can be done to begin finding dates fast.

To begin with, don’t be too ashamed to ask for support.  Ask your pals if they might be aware of any single girls that you might date.  Yes, it can often be awkward to ask for help in the relationship department, but seriously, this really is a great way to find a date.  Do not[] make a big deal about it.  Just handle it like any other average thing–you don’t want everyone imagining that you are needy.  Your family and friends will do lots of the heavy lifting for you telling her how awesome you are.

Aside from that, you truly should just begin getting out there and meeting girls.  Essentially anything that gets you doing stuff out and about is best.  Take some classes or sign up for a group that is into many of your interests.  You’ll meet a lot of people this way and you will actually meet some terrific single girls in this way too.

Either way, eventually you ought to have a prospective date or two.  All you have to do is phone her up and set up the date.

Before you choose to call the girl, you must have some kind of notion about what you want to do.  In case you have never met the girl before, I recommend a coffee date.  It is not going to look like a huge commitment like catching a show or a meal at a pricy restaurant.  Plus it provides both of you a chance to chat and get acquainted with each other.  But whatever you choose to do, just be sure you have a plan.  It is your duty as the man to know what you’re doing.  Nothing is a bigger turn off than not coming prepared for the first date.

Make sure you come off as positive (clue: smile as you talk).  You should not spend hours on the telephone.  Yes , it most likely feels wonderful, but really you should meet this girl.  It’s going to be much better in person.  Aim to restrict your phone conversations initially to about 20 minutes.  This way you do not use up all your stuff to speak about before the date even takes place.

Next, how to get a date and get her to agree to go out with you… Finish the call by saying something such as, “Hey I have to go organize my sock drawer now, but you seem like quite a great girl.  Let’s get together for coffee and talk some more.  When do you think you’re available this week?”  As soon as you decide on a time and place to meet, say something along the lines of, “Okay, excellent.  I will see you on Saturday at seven thirty at Vita Coffee, then.”  By reiterating the time and place for a second time, you cement the spot and time into each of your memories so that it is tougher for both of you to forget.

That’s how to get a date.  If you’re stressed, from time to time it can help to just pretend that it is no huge problem.  Remember you will want to get to know her first, this means you really have no reason to be so stressed yet.  I mean, you do not even know what her personality is like yet.  So there’s really absolutely nothing to be worried about.
